Holy Smokes check out the throughput on this one.
the semi-lucid ramblings of a person on the frontier of boredom without anything to do, and without any meaningful direcion. I love my job. Since I started working here I figured I'd spend the next 30 years doing the same thing. My free time is eaten up. I still don't really have much of a life, but I'm busy and it looks like fun.
This weekend I did several things. I knit two scarves of left over furry yarn, which will be gifts for some 5 year old friends of mine, one grey one white both too short for grownups (which was the plan). I also knit myself a hat...a very special hat. My folks went to Alaska earlier this year, and my mom brought me back some Quivit yarn, from the Oomingmak Cooperative. This yarn is from the fluffy undercoat of a musk ox. You knit it really loose, (a heavy worsted on size 10 needles) so while it looks like the cap wouldn't be that warm it really is. It's blocking now. I'll start wearing it regularly probably tomorrow. Maybe I'll post pictures if I get really excited.
http://www.thinkblank.com/santa2003/ My little test of humanity every year. I've signed up for the past few years, since the very first one... and I rather like it... gives me that feeling of happiness with my fellow people, as I always manage to get a gift. Frequently not even the cheapest item on my wish list.
I had totally forgotten I had moved my blog off of crosspaths.. Guess I need to get out from under a rock.
