the semi-lucid ramblings of a person on the frontier of boredom without anything to do, and without any meaningful direcion. I love my job. Since I started working here I figured I'd spend the next 30 years doing the same thing. My free time is eaten up. I still don't really have much of a life, but I'm busy and it looks like fun.

I realize it is the new person stupid scut work job but why the fuck do people keep dumping inventory on me. I will refuse if told I must do it. Short of getting fired I will do everything I can to fight it. Hell I might even get fired.
Traffic this morning was wierd. Normally if I leave my house before 7 there is next to no traffic, today with 1/2 inch of snow on the ground there was traffic everywhere it took me almost an hour to get in to work. What causes this? Did everyone get up expecting to have to shovel and then go in early because they were up? Do people here leave early and drive faster to avoid traffic in the snow? I will have to keep my eye on this weird phenomonon.
I got a haircut last night. I get my hair cut at great clips, where I usually average 80% acceptable or better haircuts. Usually one in five is a real stinker. I got the stinker last night. This contrasts sharply with Toad's perspective. I pay $14 for what is usually a good enough haircut. She will pay exorbinant sums and sticks to a hair stylist like a burr, even if she gets two or three she doesn't like in a row, simply because that one individual knows how to cut her hair. I will admit she does normally get a pretty predicatable haircut, but at one point she was paying $40+ for a haircut. I just don't get it. Maybe because I have a relatively large amount of fast growing hair, so that any haircut that is bad is usually better in a few weeks. Maybe I just don't care enough.
