Just when I thought AI caused me to loose my voice, nope it turns out to be strep. I HATE being sick.

FWD from LT: * Lighter Side *
>GI JOE: Toy collectors take note, some new GI Joe action figures are coming out with their legendary "Kung-Fu grip" restored. The Kung Fu Joes were very popular during the martial arts crazed 1970s. From 1974 to 1978 they were all the rage. Now Hasbro's bringing them back. The first in the new series features GI Joe as a scuba-diver Kung-Fu-clinching a knife.

Hmm...Well looks like I haven't had much to say lately. Mostly it has been that I have been busy. I am in my new house. I am getting ready for AI. One of these days I should more fully ponder my feelings on honesty AND forthrightness. You don't have to be forthright just to be honest but it is hard, too hard for me.

ooh I now have a text pager, two way even.. so I guess I can spend an evening inputting addresses and stuff so I can send people messages

WHO puts firewire on a server? or IDE hard drives. I kid you not 2 ATA 100 DeskStar drives. You know the IBM ones with the class action suit against them?!?!?!?

I just had an X server delivered to my care. What do I know about macs? hmm.. this is going to be a LEARNING experience I guess.

I sent my brother an email asking how life was going and giving him my contact info since I moved....our conversation follows.. his comments are in bright yellow.
RETCHED! I could go on and on but it wouldn't do anyone much good.
FYI - As your personal e-mail address changes with the seasons I'm only going to e-mail you at work.
Have a great one.

My personal email address has changed like 3 times in 7 years. Maybe less. I used ames.net for years then crosspaths.net since. But whatever. This one works.

In my life I've lost 2 watches. It just so happens that both of them were lost during my eighth year of life. Since then I've been known as the kid who loses watches and can't be trusted with anything nice. The rents burnt this into my head so well I still won't spend more than $40 on a watch! So...you'll be the e-mail changer and I'll be the watch loser.
Odd cause I have lost no small number of watches. Actually I don't even
wear one anymore.
About the time you kept losing retainers I was losing watches.

Odd how life works out that you can be branded forever based on things you did once upon a time. Seriously I had 1 address in college, 1 in grad school (and a private isp at the same time ames.net) then I changed to crosspaths, my work address changes all the time. I had 4 at my last job.

From the land of freaky cross sales techniques.... Yesterday evening I was in BestBuy getting a dryer. As I am heading for the checkout talking to the manager, a regional manager and a department manager from another department (the appliances clerk had been button holed at the front desk somehow so they were all helping me) the store manager asks me if I have a computer at home. I said yes. Then he asked if I had an ISP.. I said not quite yet.. soon I would get around to that. So he tells me "I can give you $200 off that dryer right now if you sign up with MSN." I understand when they do that with computers.. but a dryer? Does it have an Ethernet port I am not aware of? If it did that would rock for home automation...but still?!?!?? MSN Broadband for a discount on the dryer. I declined, politely even.

Hmm interesting things that have happend in the last little bit. I have purchased a furnace, to fix my AC. I knew it was coming but I wasn't expecting it this week. I have spent a WHOLE BUNCH of money at Home Depot and Menard's. My house is coming along nicely.

well I am moved. I am working at my new job. there is still a great deal of unpacking to be done, and the decorating isn't done either. but maybe by this weekend.
