I finally have a gripe about working at St. Thomas, for those that don't know me well you are thinking...you've only been there 3 months what can you ggripe about, for those who know me better, you were wondering what took so long. There is a chronic problem in Aquinus, and John Roach Center (my building and the adjacent one). The problem is simple, and easily fixed. The problem is the vending machines don't get maintained near well enough. I can safely say that more days than not the machine has its correct change only light lit, and more importantly by a factor of two to one there are more days without diet pepsi than with. Doesn't the person from the local pepsi distributor know that they would sell more soda if it didn't sit empty for weeks on end? I don't like pepsi products in general but I will drink them when there is no coke available. This is an all pepsi campus so there I go I guess...but would it be so hard to keep the machines filled?
notes from the frontier of boredom
the semi-lucid ramblings of a person on the frontier of boredom without anything to do, and without any meaningful direcion. I love my job. Since I started working here I figured I'd spend the next 30 years doing the same thing. My free time is eaten up. I still don't really have much of a life, but I'm busy and it looks like fun.
