I have a friend who might just be the most considerate person on earth. This morning I mentioned via IM that I had a headache, this afternoon she remembered this detail and asked if it was better. Nope sure enough it wasn't, but that is more or less beside the point. I see her once maybe twice a year, I live in Iowa, she in North Carolina. But we have a gaming group that meets online. Today she decides since I feel like dog doo that I should cancel and rest so that I get better and don't get sick again. Not only does she do this nice thing for me (I am the DM so I have to be there) but she then agrees to be online at the appropriate time to make my excuses for me to the rest of the group. WOW. That is really swell. In a world where almost nobody thinks about anybody else excepting how the other person makes their life worse consideration like hers stands out even further.
